New York City Native American Education Program

The Native American Education Program set up through the Department of Education, Office of Indian Education, Washington DC and the Board of Education Schools of NYC, was established for students of Native descent from North, South, and Central America. Native children who are attending grades K-12 are eligible for free tutoring, cultural programs, trips and more. Members of the RedHawk proudly volunteer their time helping young urban Native students learn about their heritage and unlearn stereotypes that face many Native kids today. If your Native child is interested in learning about their culture, you may contact Cliff Mathias, Director, at (718) 686-9297, (718) 686-0012 FAX.
